CVE-2023-1841Network attack vector

Session hijacking via invalid-character XSS

Published Feb 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Honeywell MPA2 Access Control Panel before R1.00.08.05 allows remote attackers to hijack user sessions. The embedded web server fails to neutralize invalid characters in untrusted input during page generation, causing attacker-controlled script execution. Exploitation requires user interaction and allows session-cookie theft, authorized-user impersonation, data exfiltration, or response hijacking.
