Improper access control in Rockwell Automation Kinetix 5500 firmware 7.13 allows remote attackers to access drives through Telnet or FTP. Affected drives enable Telnet and FTP listening services by default instead of keeping those management interfaces closed. Exposure requires a drive made between May 2022 and January 2023 running 7.13 and network reachability to the ports, enabling unauthorized service access.
