Widget state changes via missing nonce validation
Published Jun 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in StaxWP Stax Addons for Elementor 1.4.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to change widget states. The toggle_widget AJAX handler accepts requests that enable or disable Elementor widgets without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active WordPress session to follow a crafted link or otherwise submit the forged request, and the resulting impact is limited to changing which widgets are enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
