Stored XSS via unneutralized position name
Published Apr 2, 2023 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Employee Payslip Generator with Sending Mail 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script. The save_position action in classes/Master.php stores the name form field without neutralizing HTML, and the Position List later renders it as executable markup. Administrative access is required to submit the payload, and a subsequent visit triggers it in the viewer's browser, enabling page-content modification.
