Privilege escalation in phpMyFAQ before 3.1.12 allows remote authenticated users to obtain super-administrator access via user editing. The admin user editor trusts the is_superadmin POST field and writes the requested status without verifying that the acting account is already a super administrator. Access to user administration is required; a sufficiently privileged but non-super-admin account can promote an account and gain full control of the application.
