Stored script execution via CSP-free HTML export
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 10, 2025
Stored XSS in phpMyFAQ before 3.1.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through an exported HTML document. The HTML5 export generator places unsanitized FAQ content into its output without a Content Security Policy that blocks script execution. An administrator-level attacker must store crafted FAQ content; the resulting script executes in the browser context that opens the export.
