Authenticated SQL injection via unvalidated emailids parameter
Published Mar 30, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
SQL injection in the email deletion API in IBOS 4.5.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via emailids. The mark-and-delete endpoint passes the emailids request argument into a database query without adequately validating or neutralizing SQL syntax. A low-privileged authenticated session is required, and successful injection permits database reads or writes within the application database privileges.
