Database data extraction via unescaped guest login cookie
Published May 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
SQL injection in SupportCandy before 3.1.5 allows remote attackers to extract database data through crafted guest login cookies. The parse_user_filters function insufficiently escapes the cookie email value and incorporates it into an SQL query without sufficient preparation. No authentication or user interaction is required, and injected query clauses can expose sensitive records stored in the WordPress database.
