Stored XSS via extensionless uploaded HTML
Published Nov 1, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Bitrix24 22.0.300 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser through a crafted file upload. /desktop_app/file.ajax.php?action=uploadfile stores extensionless HTML under a web-accessible path, and Apache serves it without a Content-Type header, causing browser content sniffing and script execution. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires a victim to open the returned file URL; an administrator victim exposes the server's PHP command feature to system-command execution.
