Stored script execution via unsanitized expense names
Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Earnings and Expense Tracker App 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via expense names. Master.php?a=save_expense accepts the name argument for an expense record without neutralizing script content before the value is rendered. An approved account must submit the crafted name, and another user must view the stored expense for the script to execute in that user's browser.
