CVE-2023-1669Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Object injection via unserialized redirection sources

Published May 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

PHP object injection in SEOPress before 6.5.0.3 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to inject objects through settings imports. The seopress_import_rk_redirections function passes the imported redirections sources value to PHP unserialize without validating the serialized object. Exploitation requires an administrator account and a suitable POP chain supplied by another plugin or theme; the vulnerable plugin provides no chain itself, while a usable chain can expose data, delete files, or execute code.
