Unauthenticated stored XSS via unchecked settings update
Published May 8, 2023 · Updated May 5, 2025
Stored XSS in QuantumCloud WPBot before 4.4.9 allows remote attackers to inject scripts into the WordPress admin dashboard. An init-hooked handler accepts the qc_bot_str_weight POST setting without authorization or CSRF validation, and the Simple Text response page renders it without escaping. No account is required to store the payload, but an administrator must open that dashboard page for the script to execute in the administrator's browser.
