CVE-2023-1645Public exploit

System crash via attacker-controlled IOCTL buffer overflow

Published Mar 26, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Global buffer overflow in IObit Malware Fighter 9.4.0.776 allows local users to crash Windows through a crafted driver IOCTL. The IMFCameraProtect.sys handler for code 0x8018E008 passes an attacker-controlled source address and size to memmove, overrunning a global buffer. Low-privilege local access is sufficient, and successful exploitation causes a system-wide blue-screen crash.
