Cross-site scripting via unsanitized mode parameter
Published Mar 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
Cross-site scripting in OTCMS 6.72 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser via the mode parameter. AutoRun in apiRun.php processes attacker-controlled mode input without neutralizing it before incorporating it into web-page output. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and victim interaction, and the published CNA assessment limits the direct consequence to modification of browser-rendered content.
