SQL injection via unvalidated menu sort parameter
Published Mar 23, 2023 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
SQL injection in Novel-Plus 3.6.2 allows remote attackers to execute database queries through the sys/menu/list sort parameter. MenuService incorporates the attacker-controlled sort value into the menu-list query without restricting it to valid sortable fields. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful injection can read or alter application data and interrupt database-backed service.
