Database compromise via unsanitized search filters
Published Mar 22, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
SQL injection in Pimcore before 10.5.19 allows remote authenticated users to read and modify the database through the admin search. The SearchController::findAction method accepted type, subtype, and class request parameters and fed them into search construction without restricting SQL-special characters. An authenticated administrative session is required; the upstream advisory reports full database access and identifies code execution as conditional on knowing the WEBROOT path.
