Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized query ordering
Published Mar 22, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in DataGear 4.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through queryOrder. The /analysisProject/pagingQueryData handler incorporates the attacker-controlled ordering value into an SQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax. A low-privileged account can expose or alter data available to the application's database identity without user interaction.
