Administrative session reuse via uncleared logout cache
Published Mar 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Insufficient session expiration in Apache Answer before 1.0.6 allows attackers with an administrator token to retain access after logout. UserLogout removes ordinary user cache data but fails to call RemoveAdminUserCacheInfo for the supplied access token, leaving the administrative cache valid. Exploitation requires a valid administrator access token and an administrator logout; the token remains usable for administrative requests.
