Heap corruption via stale ANGLE storage pointer
Published Mar 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Use-after-free in ANGLE in Google Chrome before 111.0.5563.110 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory through crafted HTML. TextureD3D_2D::redefineImage frees texture storage before Image11::disassociateStorage dereferences the stale mAssociatedStorage pointer. Exploitation requires the page to create a desynchronized WebGL2 context; the demonstrated proof of concept crashes the GPU process, with no established sandbox escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
