Session compromise via unsafe javascript links
Published Mar 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Cross-site scripting in TSolucio coreBOS before 8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted link markup. The vtlib_purify function in include/utils/VtlibUtils.php permits an anchor href containing the javascript scheme to survive HTML purification. A victim must follow the rendered link; the script then runs in the coreBOS origin and can read or alter data available to that session.
