Protected file disclosure via reusable master key
Published May 30, 2023 · Updated Jan 10, 2025
Improper access control in W3 Eden WordPress Download Manager before 3.2.71 allows remote authenticated users to read protected files. After one valid file password is supplied, the download flow returns a reusable master key that remains valid when the wpdmdl parameter is changed to another package ID. Low-privileged access and knowledge of any protected file's password are sufficient to retrieve other password-protected downloads.
