CVE-2023-1517Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account compromise via unencoded schedule time field

Published Mar 20, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025

DOM-based XSS in Pimcore before 10.5.19 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another administrator's browser. The document Schedule tab's time editor retains user-controlled markup without HTML-encoding it when focus leaves the field, allowing ExtJS to render the markup. A high-privilege user must place the payload and another user must interact with the affected tab; the resulting script can read cookies or act as that user.
