Session-cookie theft via unvalidated redirect expiry field
Published Mar 20, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Stored XSS in Pimcore before 10.5.19 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in an administrator's browser via Redirects. The Redirects module's Expiry date editor accepted HTML-bearing values and later rendered the stored field; the fix rejects values when Ext.String.hasHtmlCharacters detects markup. Access to redirect configuration and interaction by a user who views the poisoned entry are required, exposing that user's session cookie or redirecting the browser to an attacker-chosen site.
