Browser script execution via unescaped category names
Published Mar 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Medicine Tracker System Project E-Commerce System 1.0 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The category controller accepts the CATEGORY parameter and stores it without neutralizing executable HTML before the category name is rendered. The attack requires a victim to load the affected category view, where the injected script runs with that browser session's privileges.
