Database disclosure via bypassed SQL escaping
Published Mar 18, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
SQL injection in REBUILD 3.2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data through the approval-list search. ConfigCommons.queryListOfConfig inserts the q parameter into a SQL statement after escapeSql doubles quotes, but backslash escaping defeats that transformation before createQuery executes it. The administrative search endpoint requires an authenticated session, and the demonstrated error-based payload exposes database schema names.
