Unauthenticated arbitrary file write via cache paths
Published Apr 10, 2023 · Updated Feb 11, 2025
Path traversal in WPMU DEV Hummingbird before 3.4.2 allows remote attackers to write cache files outside the cache directory. The page cache module saves a generated cache-file path without validating that it remains inside the intended cache directory. No authentication is required; crafted cache paths can enumerate directories, place files in arbitrary locations, crash the server, or deny access to resources.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
