Stored cross-site scripting via unsanitized coupon codes
Published Mar 17, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Tips and Tricks HQ WP Express Checkout 2.2.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The coupon editor stores pec_coupon[code] without sufficient input sanitization and later renders the value without output escaping. Administrator access is normally required; configured dashboard access exposes the operation to lower-privileged accounts, and the script runs when a user opens an injected page.
