CVE-2023-1456Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via NAT configuration handler

Published Mar 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Command injection in Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X 2.0.9-hotfix.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through NAT configuration. The CNA identifies only unspecified processing in the NAT configuration handler and does not disclose which input reaches a command interpreter or how it is handled. Administrative authentication is required; Ubiquiti disputes the issue because it does not accept post-authentication reports, while the claimed consequence is arbitrary command execution.
