Administrator-session script execution via reflected parameters
Published Apr 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Reflected XSS in Ernest Marcinko Ajax Search Pro before 4.26.2 allows remote attackers to execute script via crafted admin-page URLs. The settings page writes the asp_sid query parameter, and other undisclosed parameters, into HTML without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open an attacker-crafted link; the script then runs in that administrator's browser context.
