Unauthenticated customer-data disclosure via public CSV exports
Published Mar 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
Information disclosure in Simple Shopping Cart 4.6.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to read exported customer order data. The order CSV export saves a persistent file containing names, email and postal addresses, and IP addresses beneath the web-accessible includes/admin directory instead of streaming it only to the administrator. No authentication is required to request a known export URL, but disclosure requires an administrator to have generated an export and the file to remain present.
