Administrator-level SQL injection via unescaped videoID parameter
Published May 8, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
SQL injection in Video List Manager 1.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to read database data. The administrative edit and delete handlers insert the videoID request parameter into SELECT and DELETE statements without sanitization, escaping, or parameterized preparation. Administrator access to WordPress is required; a crafted value can delay either query and append SQL that extracts sensitive database information.
