PHP object injection via deserialized form input
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
PHP object injection in Formidable Forms before 6.2 allows remote attackers to inject PHP objects through anonymous form submissions. The entry-processing path passes attacker-controlled serialized form-field data to PHP deserialization, instantiating a supplied object. Exploit impact requires a suitable gadget chain; the published demonstration invokes object wake-up behavior, while stronger consequences depend on available gadgets.
