CVE-2023-1383

Adjacent access to local-only services via registration

Published May 3, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

Workflow enforcement flaws in Fire TV Stick 3rd Gen 6.2.9.4 and Insignia Fire TV 7.6.3.2 allow adjacent attackers to access local-only services. The amzn.dmgr exchangeDeviceServices function accepts a valid deviceServices structure and explorerId without enforcing service-access boundaries; the required UUID is exposed by getFullDeviceInfo. An unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network can register access to six internal services, with no reported availability impact.
