Subscriber-level cache deletion via missing capability check
Published Jun 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Fastest Cache 1.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete a WordPress site's cache. The deleteCacheToolbar AJAX callback invokes the cache-deletion routine without checking the caller's WordPress capabilities. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and deletion removes generated cache files, forcing the site to rebuild cached content.
