Unauthenticated database disclosure via unfiltered login query
Published Mar 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
SQL injection in XHCMS 1.0 login.php allows remote attackers to read database data through the POST user parameter. The login handler inserts the unfiltered user value inside a quoted SELECT against the manage table and passes the constructed query to mysql_query. No authentication or user interaction is required; demonstrated error-based payloads disclose database values before credential verification.
