Authenticated SQL injection via unquoted customer identifier
Published Mar 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
SQL injection in Bumsys before 2.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to read or modify database data through a crafted customer_id. The customer lookup logic in core/ajax/ajax_data.php sanitizes customer_id as text but interpolates it unquoted into a numeric SQL expression. An authenticated account is required; injected SQL can disclose or modify application data and interrupt database-backed service.
