Administrator takeover via unauthenticated password reset

Authentication bypass in NETGEAR RAX30 firmware before 1.0.6.74 allows remote attackers to gain administrator access by resetting the password. The unauthenticated password-reset form sends POST requests to /pwd_reset/reset_pwd.cgi, which accepts a new administrator password without verifying a session, serial number, or security-question answers. Network access to the router management interface is sufficient, and a successful reset grants control of settings exposed to the administrator account.
