Stored script execution via unescaped form name
Published Jun 12, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Easy Forms for Mailchimp before 6.8.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers. The form editor stores an unescaped Form Name value and renders it in the form list and embedded forms without neutralizing script markup. An administrator-level account is required, and execution occurs when a user views the affected form list or a page containing the shortcode.
