Browser script execution via Vue-parsed Razor output
Published Mar 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in BTCPay Server before 1.8.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. Affected Razor views place user-controlled interpolation syntax inside Vue-parsed elements while the content security policy permits unsafe evaluation. Exploitation requires crafted content and another user to load an affected view, exposing that user's session-scoped data or actions.
