Missing MAC-layer authorization in Silicon Laboratories Wi-SUN SDK 1.0.0 through 1.5.0 allows remote attackers to route malicious messages. Silicon Laboratories identifies absent MAC-layer security but has not published the affected function or exact authorization check omitted during forwarding. Exploitation requires a malicious Wi-SUN node able to interact with the mesh; routed traffic can alter network data and interrupt service, with no reported confidentiality impact.
