Script execution via unsanitized installation site name
Published Mar 7, 2023 · Updated Mar 6, 2025
Reflected XSS in Apache Answer before 1.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser via a crafted site name. The installation request model accepted SiteName without sanitizer validation, allowing attacker-controlled markup to reach a rendered page. Exploitation requires high-privileged access and a user to view the affected response; resulting script runs in that user's browser context.
