Renderer heap corruption via normalized transition map
Published Mar 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome before 111.0.5563.64 allows remote attackers to corrupt renderer heap memory via crafted HTML. ReadJSObjectProperties updates a deprecated transition target into a dictionary map, then CommitProperties treats it as a fast-properties map. Triggering requires a user to visit malicious content that deserializes crafted JavaScript objects; the published analysis establishes renderer corruption, not a sandbox escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
