Database compromise via interpolated enum/set field size
Published Mar 6, 2023 · Updated Feb 16, 2026
SQL injection in phpIPAM before 1.5.2 allows remote authenticated users with administrative access to read and modify database data. The Admin::update_custom_field_definition method concatenates the fieldSize value into an enum/set type definition passed to an ALTER TABLE query instead of binding it as a parameter. An administrator with a valid session and CSRF token can submit a crafted custom-field request that executes attacker-chosen SQL against the application database.
