Authenticated message disclosure via UUID authorization bypass
Published Mar 6, 2023 · Updated Mar 6, 2025
Improper access control in Devolutions Server 2022.3.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read secure-message data. The secure-messages feature returns a message's contents when an authenticated requester supplies its UUID without enforcing the message's intended access restrictions. A secure CSPRNG makes target UUIDs infeasible to guess, so exploitation requires obtaining one through another flaw; impact is limited to disclosure of that message's data.
