Subscriber-level image upload via missing capability check
Published Jun 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in OoohBoi Steroids for Elementor 2.1.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload image attachments. The file_uploader_callback function processes requested attachment uploads without checking the caller's WordPress capability. A subscriber account is sufficient, and exploitation adds attacker-chosen images to the site's media content without broader reported effects.
