CVE-2023-1167Network attack vector

Unauthenticated security report disclosure via unchecked routes

Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 10, 2025

Improper authorization in GitLab EE allows remote attackers to read merge request security reports via a direct report URL. The merge request security-report routes return report content without enforcing the Developer-or-higher project permission. No account is required, but a reachable merge request must have generated security reports and its report URL must be known; exposure is limited to report data.
