SYSTEM code execution via insecure installer folders

Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Incorrect folder permissions in Delta Electronics InfraSuite Device Master before 1.0.5 allow local users to execute code as SYSTEM. The product installer assigns incorrect access controls to product folders, exposing them to low-privileged modification. Exploitation requires prior low-privileged code execution on the Windows host and yields arbitrary code execution in the SYSTEM context.
