Unauthenticated code execution via UDP deserialization
Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Deserialization in Delta Electronics InfraSuite Device Master before 1.0.5 allows remote attackers to execute code via UDP port 10100. The ParseUDPPacket() method treats attacker-controlled packet-header bytes as a .NET object and passes them to BinaryFormatter.Deserialize() without validation. The service listens by default without authentication, and successful payloads run in the Device-Gateway-Status process context.
