CVE-2023-1126Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Subscriber-level stored XSS via unescaped user notes

Published Apr 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025

Stored XSS in WP FEvents Book 0.46 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through event-page user notes. The User notes field accepts attacker-controlled HTML without sanitization or output escaping and stores it for later display. Subscriber access is sufficient to plant the payload; script execution occurs when another user opens the affected event page, exposing that user's browser session to attacker-controlled actions.
