Administrator file read via import path traversal
Published Apr 3, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
Path traversal in WP EasyCart before 5.4.3 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to read local files. The ec_admin_ajax_import_products action accepts import_file_url traversal sequences and reads the referenced server-local path, returning its first line. Administrator access and a valid plugin nonce are required; the demonstrated consequence is limited to disclosure of that first line.
